Henry Adu & Associates, an independently owned tax firm in Alexandria, Virginia, is all about giving back to the community. They’ve become a big presence in local associations, charities, and cultural events. Their clients—mostly local small businesses—share the same values of being involved and making a positive impact.
hand-drawn symbol
Inspired by East African patterns, I grabbed my pens to create a hand-drawn, organic look for the symbol. No line or circle is the same, which perfectly represents the diverse community and clients they serve. The earth tones and carefully selected fonts convey seriousness and professionalism.
I’ll admit, this logo was a tough one to conceptualize! The challenge was merging the vibrant energy of Ghanaian culture with the more rigid nature of the finance industry.
The end result is a logo that feels warm, connected, and welcoming—an iconic representation of a community that looks great on branded promotional products.
